アポロ宇宙船

アポロ宇宙船関連のＤＶＤをたくさん見る。

世代とか人それぞれによって評価が分かれるところですが、結構気に入っているのがＮＨＫのＤＶＤ。

当時のアメリカのチャレンジ精神というか、どんなに失敗しても必ず最後には成功させようとする信念の強さには今の私たちにも結構学ぶところがあります。

特にケネディの有名な演説。

I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important in the long-range exploration of space; and none will be so difficult or expensive to accomplish.

実現不可能と思われる演説を現職の大統領が行い、そしてたくさんの失敗ののちに見事に月着陸を成功させる。感動ものです。
